4th - 28th Feb 2022 Department of Fisheries Opens for Applications for a Commercial Fishing License

The Department of Fisheries notifies those wishing to engage in commercial fishing. In the fishing year 2022 - 2023 for fishing vessels with a size of 10 gross tons or more or a fishing vessels using an engine with a power of 280 horsepower or more or a vessels that has or uses fishing equipment according to the Minister of Agriculture required to submit an application for a commercial fishing license at the Bangkok Fisheries Office or other places as prescribed by the Director-General within 4th - 28th February 2022 only if there is no license will not have the right to engage in commercial fishing in the fishing years 2022 - 2023.

In this new fishing year The Department of Fisheries has required those wishing to engage in commercial fisheries to apply for a permit at the Fisheries Office in Bangkok or the fishery office of the district that has a territory adjacent to the sea or other places as prescribed by the Director-General within 4th - 28th February 2022, which the Department of Fisheries will consider allocating a commercial fishing license within 1th - 31th March, 2022, and will inform the applicant of the result of the permit Proceed as follows


1. In the case of permission The applicant shall pay fishing fees and duties and receive a commercial fishing license at the district fishery office that submits the application by 31th March, 2022. If the said period is over, it shall be deemed that such person waives his right from being a licensee allowed and obtaining a commercial fishing license at the place of application and shall complete the vessels marking within 60 days from the effective date of the license.

2. In the event that permission is not granted The applicant shall be able to appeal against the refusal order within 15 days from the date of receiving the order by submitting "pass" the district fisheries office, Provincial Fisheries Office or send a post to the Department of Fisheries. However, the licensee must have the vessels and fishing gear inspected before going for the first time fishing.

They can request a vessels and fishing tool inspection from 4th February, 2022 onwards (after receiving a license application). will not be able to go fishing as permitted.

3. Power of Attorney Along with attaching a copy of the authorized person's identification card and presenting the identity card of the authorized person (in case of authorization).

7. 8. Three photos or digital photos of fishing vessels (taken within 3 months)
