Chaiya District Also Has Dugongs to Earn Their Living in The Sea Grass Resources

11th February, 2022 Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Coastal Resources Research Center, Central Gulf of Thailand, surveyed the dugong using a two-seat fixed-wing aircraft, flying during the high tide. Chaiya Bay area Surat Thani Province which is a source of seagrass and manatee sightings have been reported The survey found 3 dugongs and 4 sea turtles data was recorded for further monitoring and assessment.
