Discuss the draft measures to protect rare marine animals from tourism activities

On September 22th, 2022, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Marine Resources Conservation Division together with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Samut Sakhon Province Marine and Coastal Resources Office No.8 Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Upper Gulf of Thailand, West Coast Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), Bang Ya Phraek Subdistrict Municipality, Subdistrict Administrative Organization(SAO) Kok Kham, Subdistrict Administrative Organization(SAO) Panthainorasing, Samut Sakhon Fisheries Association fisherman's representative Whale watching tour operators and related persons Meeting to listen to opinions to draft measures to protect rare marine animals from tourism activities (Bruda whales) at the meeting room of the Management Center.

Fisheries Inspectorate, District 5, Samut Sakhon Province The meeting agreed to draft measures to protect rare marine animals from tourism activities. by including the whales of Bruda and the Omura Whale took the same measures. From now on, it will be submitted to the process of proposing a secondary law by the steps of Section 20 of the Marine and Coastal Resources Act 2015.
