DMCR Discussions with GISTDA on The Creation of A Marine and Coastal Resource Database System

On October 20th, 2022, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources discusses with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization): GISTDA with the Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and Deputy Director-General of Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) Director of the Office of Geo-Informatics Application and Management In this regard, there is a director of the Mangrove Forest Resource Conservation Division along with specialists and relevant officials of both agencies attended the GISTDA meeting room.

This was a discussion on a joint MOU between the two agencies to develop a system for monitoring changes in marine and coastal resources as well as reading and translating marine and coastal resources satellite images including establishing a database of marine and coastal resources (Mangrove forest side Coastal erosion including the development of a monitoring system for mangrove forest changes from satellite image data in the form of a Web Application to create tools for officers to monitor, restore and preserve mangrove forest resources keep the database accurate and continue in the same direction.
