First meeting of Thailand's Sustainable Trawl Fisheries Management Working Group for 2025

On Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Kuladam Meeting Room, 7th Floor, Chulabhorn Building, Department of Fisheries, Mr. Pawarot Noranattrakul, a Marine Fisheries Expert, was delegated by Mr. Suwat Wongsuwat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, to chair the 1st Meeting of the Working Group on Sustainable Trawl Fisheries Management in Thailand for the year 2025. The meeting was attended by heads of divisions within the Department of Fisheries, representatives from the private sector, and relevant officials. The objectives were to acknowledge the progress of the project and to deliberate on the implementation plan for the year 2025, aiming to drive the management of trawl fisheries in alignment with Thailand's fisheries policy and to promote collaboration between the public and private sectors in the sustainable conservation of marine resources.
