In Pattani Sea, Lepidochelys olivacea Tortoise was Found with a Wound Floating in The Net.

On 18th December, 2021 Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Lower Gulf of Thailand Get notified by fishermen of rare marine life washed up. Located at Raweng Beach, Don Sai Subdistrict, Mai Kaen District, Pattani Province. The examination result was Lepidochelys olivacea tortoise, shell length 50 cm. width 52 cm. weight 12.6 kg. No microchip number found which was found attached to the scraps of old fishing nets There was an external wound that was almost severed on the left front leg. and the left hind leg is bone-deep. Initially, the veterinarian cleaned the wound, Injecting disinfectants and reducing pain then brought back to continue treatment before considering releasing it back to nature.
