According to the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, it has adopted a landfill buoy project come to work with the private sector in the canal and estuary areas of the major rivers. In several areas along the country's coastline over the past four years (2019 - 2022), 56 buoys have been installed in 22 provinces and collected about 5 million pieces of garbage that could reduce the impact on the seas between 2019 and 2021.
