On Monday 29th August 2022 at 13.30 at the Department of Fisheries, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries Presided over a meeting to discuss the development of the Machine Learning for Labor Indicator system with foreign fisheries advisory experts. and related officials of the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare attend the meeting
The system is a study project conducted by Oceanmind and the ILO aimed at examining the behavior of workers on fishing vessels to see if there is break time by labor law. using data from Logbook Fishing behavior, labor interviews, etc., and creating a labor indicator. The meeting also discussed the issue of improving the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Fisheries, Oceanmind, and Seafood Task Force to make it more clear.
