Meeting to progress on tackling the problem of illegal fishing in Thailand and future action plans

Director-General of the Department of Fisheries Presided over the opening of the workshop on the preparation of a progress report on tackling the problem of illegal fishing in Thailand and future action plans. which will be held during 12th-14th August 2022 with the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries Director of the Research Division, experts, and representatives of the Department of Fisheries concerned, including the Foreign Fisheries Division Fisheries Product Quality Inspection Division Division of Fisheries Policy and Development Plan, Legal Division, Marine Fisheries Research, and Development Division Fishing Vessel Inspection Division aquatic products and production factors Resource Management and Measures Division Fishing Vessels and Fisheries Management Division Strategy and Planning Division along with representatives of external agencies such as the Office of the Council of State, the Marine Department, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the Royal Thai Navy, the Center for National Marine Interests. Royal Thai Police Attorney General's Office and the Customs Department 70 participants attended the workshop

This meeting aims to prepare the subject matter and collect progress in tackling Thailand's illicit fishing in all dimensions in 2022, to collect ideas to solve the problem of IUU fishing in Thailand. Thailand, as well as planning for the future of Thailand to have sustainable management of fisheries resources in the future.
