On Friday,14th January, 2022, at Command Building 1, Government House, at 10:00 a.m. Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries Participated in the meeting of the National Fisheries Policy Committee No.1/2022, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister chair the meeting with the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries Attended the meeting Conferencing via online teleconferencing Zoom Clouds meeting at the Department of Fisheries at the meeting the following issues were considered:
- waypoint analysis and determination of the amount of aquatic animals permitted to fish for the 2022-2023 fishery years
- licensing guidelines. and rules for allocation of commercial fishing licenses and the time period for applying for a commercial fishing license Fisheries Cycle 2023-2027
- National Action Plan for Marine Mammal Conservation and Management 2023-2027
- Request for Central Budget Appropriations 2022 for Conservation Urgent Projects and management of marine mammals.
The meeting agreed with the proposal of the Department of Fisheries.
