Sea grass source at Khlong Bang Nara - Khlong Tak Bai

On May 27th, 2022, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Lower Gulf of Thailand, surveyed and assessed the status of seagrass resources at Khlong Bang Nara - Khlong Tak Bai. Narathiwat Province In the seagrass potential area of ​​534.4 rai by spot check method and seagrass diversity survey by trawling over the banks, 2 types of seagrass were found, Halophila beccarii and Halodule pinifolia. The overall seagrass status was in good condition. (covering 51-75%) The sea floor is muddy sand, water depth 0.3-1.1 meters, and salinity 9-25 ppt. Dissolved oxygen 5.03-6.4 mg/liter. pH 6.58-8.21, temperature 29.2-31.2 °C. The predominant aquatic species in the seagrass line are Siganus javus fish, Leiognathus brevirostris fish, and Lethrinus lentjan fish, etc. No residual marine debris is found in the seagrass habitat.
