Prachuap Khiri Khan sea corals are not bleached this year


On August 25th, 2022, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Upper Gulf of Thailand, west coast collects data and installs a data Temperature logger to study changes in sea temperature. Areas of Talu Island, Sing Island, Sang Island, Phang Island, Leam Island, and Rad Island, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province The preliminary results of seawater quality measured are in the seawater quality standard type 2 for coral conservation. Sea temperature data for Talu Island, Sing Island, Sang Island, Phang Island, Luam Island, and Rad Island from the data Temperature logger from June 13 - August 24, 2022, found that the sea temperature was 28.57 - 32.12 °C According to the data, sea temperature tends to decrease since the end of June. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coral Reef Watch, it is estimated that between July and September 2022, seawater temperatures have no effect on coral bleaching.
