On Friday 6th May 2022, 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Rama Garden Hotel, TSFR fishery advisor, fishery professor expert and working team held a meeting to discuss the progress of the Gulf of Thailand multi-species re-assessment report and Trawl Fishery Action Plan (FAP) with experts from MarineTrust, Mr. Derek Staples, MarinTrust Fishery Consultant. The objectives of this meeting is to discuss and receive suggestions for clarification on Multi-species re-assessment report and Trawl Fishery Action Plan from Mr. Derek Staples.
Overall, Mr. Derek commented that the multi-species re-assessment report and Trawl Fishery Action Plan (FAP) are well prepared. However, further guidance is provided for the completeness of the report such as background information, rating score on assessments, and gap assessment information. Also, Mr. Derek will send the information such as the Productivity Susceptibility Analysis (PSA) score, Biomass analysis results and draft Ecosystem Modeling to TSFR for further consideration to add into the research. After the meeting, Mr. Derek will write his opinions and submit them to MarinTrust as information for Peer Review to consider with other experts before sending the recommendations back to TSFR.
