Thai Sustainable Fisheries Roundtable (TSFR) participated in the GoTFish Project Meeting held on 18–19 November 2025 at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, Bangkok. The meeting was organized by FAO, in collaboration with SEAFDEC, to outline the project’s strategic direction for promoting sustainable fisheries management in the Gulf of Thailand and surrounding waters. Representatives from multiple countries and international organizations also took part in the discussions.
TSFR’s participation provided a key opportunity to align the project’s objectives with the committee’s ongoing work—particularly in fisheries resource management, data transparency, and market-based incentives that support long-term sustainability in the region.
The meeting also explored future pathways for collaboration, highlighting the importance of strengthened partnerships among government agencies, the private sector, industry stakeholders, and regional organizations. These efforts aim to elevate responsible fisheries across the Gulf of Thailand and neighboring coastal states— including Viet Nam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia—ensuring alignment with international practices and supporting the sustainable development of the fisheries along with the seafood supply chain.
