Dolphin Carcasses Found Washed Ashore at Chao Samran Beach, Phetchaburi Province

On October 31st, 2022, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources was notified through channels "Forest Protection Hotline 1362" about finding the carcass of dolphins washed ashore at Chao Samran Beach Phetchaburi Province by the staff of the Marine Resources Research Center and the Upper Gulf of Thailand on the west coast Along with officials from the Marine and Coastal Resources Office 3 on the site to inspect the remains of dolphins (Finless porpoise: Neophocaena phocaenoides) adult male, length 134 cm., weight approximately 20 kg., skin peeling off. It is estimated that he had been dead for at least 3-4 days. Officers received the dolphin carcass back to the research center for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and will report the results late.
